Image
Twitter is among the most popular social networking websites, where a lot of prominent personalities all over the world use to connect to the normal public. In order to follow the prominent people and their tweets, you just don’t need to have a Twitter account at all. Yes, you heard me right, many people actually don’t know it, and that’s why they create Twitter account just to follow others. But, I don’t think, we have to create a profile on Twitter just to follow others and here are the things that you can actually do without having a Twitter account. The open nature of Twitter allows anyone to check out the micro blogging website without any registration. About a few months back, Twitter has changed its home page to give a glance of what’s happening inside Twitter to those who don’t use it. And now, if you visit https://twitter.com/ there you will be the latest trending tweets in your country from various categories that include news, politics, sports, entertainment, an

Know your network usage in windows10

Image
Mobile and broadband data caps alike have made people very conscientious of their data usage. Windows 10 includes a built-in network usage monitor that, unlike its predecessor, is actually a pretty useful way to keep an eye on your bandwidth consumption. Read on as we show you how. What Does (And Doesn’t) The Windows 10 Network Usage Monitor Do? In Windows 8 Microsoft introduced new ways to monitor your network usage, albeit the initial incarnation of the built-in feature was shortsightedly limited to just Windows Store apps (such that if you used Skype from the Windows Store it would count that data but if you used Skype for Desktop, aka “normal” Skype then it would not). The network usage and bandwidth monitoring in Windows 10 significantly improves upon the Windows 8 system by including data for all apps, not just Windows Store supplied applications. As such it’s an excellent way to easily check which apps are using the most (or least) data over the previous 30

A Touching Story From a Taxi Driver You'll Never Forget

Image
I arrived at the address and honked the horn. After waiting a few minutes I honked again. Since this was going to be my last ride of my shift I thought about just driving away, but instead I put the car in park and walked up to the door and knocked.. 'Just a minute', answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90's stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940's movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware. 'Would you carry my bag out to the car?' she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist th

Evening Dinner with a Father

Image
A son took his old father to a restaurant for an evening dinner. Father being very old and weak, while eating, dropped food on his shirt and trousers. Other diners watched him in disgust while his son was calm. After he finished eating, his son who was not at all embarrassed, quietly took him to the wash room, wiped the food particles, removed the stains, combed his hair and fitted his spectacles firmly. When they came out, the entire restaurant was watching them in dead silence, not able to grasp how someone could embarrass themselves publicly like that. The son settled the bill and started walking out with his father. At that time, an old man amongst the diners called out to the son and asked him, “Don’t you think you have left something behind?”. The son replied, “No sir, I haven’t”. The old man retorted, “Yes, you have! You left a lesson for every son and hope for every father”. The restaurant went silent. To care for those who once cared

Image
Web browsers these days, beyond just being a internet browsing tools turned into a kind of internet application, available with daily usable as well as developer utilities.  You already might have been using the different kind of applications available with the respective browsers. For an instance, take the most commonly used web browsers Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. The noticeable reason behind the rapid usage of these tools is the speed and flexibility. You may catch what I mean by the word ‘speed’. But when it comes to the word ‘flexibility’, you might struck up in dilemma figuring out the flexible features counting one by one on your finger tips. I meant ‘flexibility’ the ability to choose what we are not supposed to be doing. Let’s see what I really mean!   What’s it with Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox? Google chrome flexible developer options has become very handy for a advanced user. The chances of learning are being dominated by the chances of hac

How to find version of .NET used?

Image
To find .NET Framework versions by viewing the registry (.NET Framework 1-4) On the Start menu, choose Run . In the Open box, enter regedit.exe . You must have administrative credentials to run regedit.exe. In the Registry Editor, open the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP The installed versions are listed under the NDP subkey. The version number is stored in the Version entry. For the .NET Framework 4 the Version entry is under the Client or Full subkey (under NDP), or under both subkeys. Note The "NET Framework Setup" folder in the registry does not begin with a period. source : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-in/library/hh925568(v=vs.110).aspx visit above link for more details

Do you know UTC time wrt IST

Image
Most of you know about IST time which is Indian Standard Time. Then what is UTC? UTC stands for UNIVERSAL TIME COORDINATED also know as GMT. what is GMT? GMT stands for GREENWICH MEAN TIME. Hey don't confuse GMT and UTC are both same. According to the sources it was like prior to 1972 we will call the standard time as GMT but after that we are calling as UTC simply universal time. Universal time is the time which was measured according to the Greenwich which is located near London UK. Do you know how much time difference from IST to UTC is? Yeah its nearly 5 hours 30 minutes. simply 5:30 difference. Mathematically its  IST = UTC + 5:30 or  UTC = IST - 5:30 i.e if you want a IST time w.r.t UTC you need to add 5:30 to it and if you want UTC time w.r.t IST then you need to subtract 5:30 from it. Any suggestions reply back to me are fire a comment. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks for reading.
